You idiot, go to a Taser class Thaddeus and you will see exactly how it works instead of downloading jibberish from the ACLU and putting it on your blog. Oh wait a minute....YOU CAN'T TAKE A TASER CLASS BECAUSE THEY DON'T ALLOW CONVICTED FELONS TO ENROLL.
You failed to address some good points that another reader had posted...Pepper Spray and Batons have a higher death toll assigned to it that the Taser.
You impressed me by your knowledge that the heart is a muscle. What you FAIL to understand is that the heart operates on electrical pulses fired by the brain. Those electrical pulses are on a TOTALLY different frequency and wave length that what the Taser interrupts. Again, you take HALF of the information and REFUSE to put it ALL OUT to further your bullshit.
Now how would the Taser have been the culprit if Chatt died an hour and some minutes later in the jail cell AFTER the WMPD brought him in and the CCSO booked him in?
Again, another point you failed to acknowledge..Electricity hang around in the body saying "oh let's kill him hours later". If the taser was to kill him, it would have done so right then and there.

And lets talk about death can't occur until the heart stops.
That is absolutely NOT true and NOT factual, nor would ANY medical doctor concur.
The heart can be completely severed from its arterial pathways, not pumping blood to any part of the body and life can still be supported for up to 2 minutes. There are several cases where a police officer has shot a person completely through the heart, ripping it to shreds, and the person is still able to function, resist, and fight. There are numerous cases coming back from the Middle East where military trained snipers shot an insurgent in the chest, blowing his heart out, with a .308 rifle and the subject was still able to walk a few steps and fire his weapon 3 or 4 more times before collapsing.
