With that being said, I hope the FBI clears this matter up for the benefit of the Memphis Police Association. If charges are warranted, then they need to be filed. There should be no "back door" justice or "closed door deals". If this case exposes high ranking people, then charge them as well. Germantown police pursued a group of home invasion suspects in to Memphis early Thursday morning.
Investigators said police received a 911 call around 2:30am Thursday about some niggas tip toeing around a nice home in Germantown's Bedford Plantation subdivision trying to invade & rob this happy home.
Moments later, Germantown officers spotted a broke down tricked out vehicle they believed was involved in the home invasion. Police Deputy Robert Bright said, "we knew something was very peculiar about niggas being in this neighborhood; we knew they were up to doing some rowgish shit so we stopped them. When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, investigators said, the niggas got scared. Officers reported that they heard the passenger say to the driver, "bitch put the pedal to the medal I ain't going down to 201 for no motherfucker. Where is my momma?".
The officers gave chase, eventually pursuing the suspects into Memphis. The chase ended near the intersection of Keel Avenue and North Bellevue, where the officers were able to stop the car.
A total of five suspects were taken into custody, and police believe at least two more suspects could still be on the run.
The chase followed Germantown police procedure as to when officers are allowed to pursue a suspect, Germantown Police Deputy Chief Rodney Bright said. Chief Bright also went on to say that he is considering retiring as he can't take anymore of taming a zoo.
